This is the place to find out not only what I'm up to, but sometimes what some of my friends, and family might be doing as well. It isn't just me here either, Hazel Prosser does all the hard work. I simply do not have the time to run a website as busy as this on my own, and I have no idea how Hazel, who does run it, manages to do so and still work and have a life ... Very skilled lady our Hazel!
Although 'Prisoner: Cell Block-H' is mentioned a lot here, and obviously some of my friends were also in the show, this is not a 'Prisoner' website, it's about me. If you want gossip with regards to 'Prisoner', or a forum in which to discuss your gripes, this is not the place for you, however you will find links to other websites that will offer this to you.
On the other hand, I am often overwhelmed by the generosity, loyalty, affection and support afforded me by the enormous number of 'Prisoner' fans, and I do my best to serve their interests, working toward the release of the DVDs is a case in point. It was a fine line Shock and I had to walk to achieve this, It would have been very easy to upset negotiations and spoil the whole deal.
You need to know I frequently express opinions that tend inflame people, and so be it, because you don't have to agree with me, and I know my habit of telling it like it is, gets up some noses. I also realise I shouldn't get so irritated when I hear some of the rubbish circulated but occasionally I can't help it, and I let fly! I did so recently during one of the commentary sessions for the DVDs. and was attacked for the things I said about someone who had for years been spreading a vile and damaging lie about me. Am I apologising, do I regret the things I said? NO!!! Well you didn't really expect I would did you?!
One of the things I really enjoy about this website is the input from the fans, especially my 'Top Dog Club' where there is a lot of talent. For instance the logo for the TDC T-shirt was the result of a competition for club members. I will continue to tap this talent and already have a couple of competitions in mind, but you will only hear about them if you are a member of the TDC.
This website also gives fans the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the sort of events they would like to see organised. Not all ideas are possible for us to achieve, but if you never ask, you'll never know! This is a great way for us to 'test the water' so to speak. Forming the 'Top Dog Club' for instance was the best way of measuring the support for the DVD release. That result literally made history. Never before has there been a DVD release of such magnitude devoted to one show. See what a little club all pulling together can achieve??
I recently discovered another thing this website does, it informs people (like Casting Directors) that I am still alive and kicking. I've actually been contacted by several people interested in employing me to perform and or direct. Hazel is always at me to update my CV and I have to confess I am a little remiss in this area, but I will catch up one of these days!
A couple of new links have been added this year, one is to the fabulous Jane Clifton's new website, the other is to XSProjects a very worthwhile enterprise, brainchild of my daughter Cassandra's and her husband David. The bags you find on her site are not only attractive, (and attract lots of attention) the purchase of them helps employ and educate a lot of less fortunate souls.
